How your crew asks for time off

They type the days in their own words, pick what it's for, and send it to an approver from their own WhatsApp.

In Crew Off, under Ask for time off:

  1. When? Type it the way they'd text it: "Friday", "tomorrow", "July 14 to 18", "10/9 to 10/12". Or tap Or pick the dates.
  2. What for? Tap one: Vacation, Sick, Personal, Unpaid, or your own types.
  3. Note, if they want one. It goes in the message, for example "Dentist in the morning".
  4. Tap Ask. Crew Off shows what it understood and the days they'd have left.
  5. Tap Send to and the approver's name. Their own WhatsApp opens with "I'd like Friday off (Vacation, 1 day). Approve or deny here:" and the link. They press send.

If Crew Off can't tell which days, it asks. Nothing is booked until it's approved. Dates are in your company's time zone. See Time zones and dates.

Sick today

"Sick today" works, and so does a day that's already gone, up to 30 days back, for the time someone forgot to ask.

Already asked

If those days are already asked for or booked, it says so: "You already have Friday asked for or booked." Change the dates instead.

Next

What they see after, and on the rest of their page: What your crew sees. If the approver doesn't answer: If nobody answers a request.
