Company holidays
Put the statutory holidays where you are on everyone's calendar, add your own like a Christmas shutdown, and time off never counts them.
Company holidays are days the whole company is off. They're optional: if your crew is on call through the holidays, leave them out.
Start from the minimum
When you start your company, Crew Off asks where it is and offers to put the statutory holidays on the calendar. You can change them any time in Settings, under Holidays:
- Pick Where is your company? and tap Save.
- The holidays for this year and next are listed. In Canada, your province's statutory holidays are ticked. Others, like Easter Monday in Ontario, are listed but not ticked. In the US no law gives private employers holidays, so the six most companies give are ticked: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Tick or untick, then tap Add ticked holidays.
Add your own
Under Your own days off, give it a name, pick the first day, and the last day if it's more than one. A Christmas shutdown from December 28 to 31 is one entry, and shows as one row.
What they do
- Calendars. A small blue dot marks each holiday on the calendar your crew uses to ask.
- Balances. Time off never counts a holiday. A week off with Christmas Day in it takes four days, not five.
- Asking for only holidays. If someone picks only holiday days, Crew Off tells them they're off already.
- Who's off. Holidays show in Who's off, next two weeks on Requests, and on the approve page when a request runs over one.
Holidays don't go on the Jobber schedule. To take one off, tap Remove next to it.
