Time off on the Jobber schedule
Approved time off becomes an all-day task assigned to that person, so nobody books them on a day off.
Jobber has no time off feature. Its own suggestion is a task assigned to the person for those days, and that is what Crew Off makes when you approve.
What the task looks like
- Title: the person and the type, for example "Mike Torres: Vacation (time off)".
- When: all day, from the first day to the last, in your company's time zone.
- Assigned to: that one person. Jobber doesn't email them about it.
- No client, and nothing to invoice.
- Instructions: "Approved time off, request 14. Booked by Crew Off. Don't schedule Mike Torres on these days. Change or cancel it in Crew Off, not here."
When it changes
- Nothing goes to Jobber until a request is approved. A request that's waiting, or denied, never touches Jobber.
- An approved change of dates moves the same task.
- A cancel deletes it.
Change or cancel time off in Crew Off, not in Jobber. A task you edit or delete in Jobber doesn't change the request or the balance.
Who it's made for
Only people who came in from Jobber. Someone added by hand isn't on your Jobber team, so their time off stays in Crew Off only.
Turn it off
Show time off on the Jobber schedule is in Settings, under Time off. It's on to start. Turn it off and Crew Off keeps the requests and balances but leaves your Jobber schedule alone.
If it's not on the schedule
The request page says On the Jobber schedule. when the task was made. If Jobber didn't take it, the page says Not on the Jobber schedule: and why, and the office can tap Try Jobber again.
Often Jobber needs to be connected again: do that in Settings, under Connections, then tap Try Jobber again. See Connect Jobber.
